We at the Woodcock Valley Bible Church would love to have you visit our fellowship and possibly become a part of our Christian family. But there is something far more important than attending a church that we desire to share with you.
Life has many things to offer, some wonderful and others not so much, but one day that will come to an end for all of us. What happens next depends on one important decision you make in your life now. The Bible teaches that everyone has two possible destinations: Heaven or Hell. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” There isn’t one person good enough to eran Heaven. Instead, Romans 6:23 goes on to say that “the wages of sin is death,” meaning we have all earned a place in Hell. But you and I are so precious to God, He did something even though we couldn’t or even deserved it. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth (demonstrated or showed) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Out of God’s tremendous love for us, He sent Jesus to pay the price of our sins, so that you and I don’t have to. What is required of us is mentioned in Romans 10:9. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” This simply means that you need to trust in what Jesus did for you on the cross and ask Him to save you. It is not about doing enough good, attending a church, being baptized, or any other thing you can do. It is simply the most important choice you will make; to trust Jesus for your salvation.
